AnimuExpoCosplay Dress Code policy
No naked people, no topless or in underwear, no see-through. Attendees have no obligation to cosplay. Since AniMu is a Japanese subculture event it would be good to stay on the theme but this convention is about fun so be creative. Any element that maybe offensive or disruptive are not welcome. AniMu staffs reserve the right to refuse admission to a member of the public if the person is in violation of the dress code policy or the weapon policy without refund of the badge price.
Weapon policy (Cosplayers/sellers concern)
NO WEAPONS ALLOWED for sale or display - Any form of "live steel": swords, kanata,knives, bayonets, shuriken, star knives, letter opener, any other objects made of metal that has an edge regardless of weather it is blunt or sharp. Sheathed steel weapons are still considered "live steel". Cardboard, wooden, plastic weapons are allowed. No metal blades please.
Any form of firearm with moving parts- Air soft guns, pellet guns, BB guns, dart guns, blow guns, crossbows. Water pistols/guns are allowed but shouldn't content water. Exceptions to the rules are obvious prop weaponry that contains no moving parts and are marked with the irremovable orange tip allowing them to be easily be recognized as toys. Nunchaku are not allowed.
Indoors policy
Smoking is prohibited inside the building or at the entrance of the hall. Alcohol, drugs are forbidden people under influence of those will be refuse admittance to the event without refund of their ticket. Children under the age of 12 should be at all times be attended by a legal guardian or parents. Parents/guardians are responsible for the well-being and behavior of all children in their care. Vandalism, fights and violence is strictly prohibited, violators will be handed to the local authorities.
Any photos and videos taken by the AniMu staffs becomes property of the convention and may be used for publicity purposes. A specific space for photo will be set-up. Please use and do not obstruct the passage for the other attendees to move around. Photography and filming are all the other aspects/activities of AniMuexpo is allowed as long as it does not bother the event or the flow of traffic and the subject does not object. Remember to ask before taking pictures of guests, staffs, artworks etc.

How to buy tickets(badges) for AniMuExpo?
Badges will be available for sale at ADG shop Allée D'Helvetia commerial center, (ADG shop has move to Jumbo Phoenix- finart and frames). 1Day Guest badge is Rs250, 2Days Guest badge is Rs375. Kids under the age if 6 years all is free, kids under the age of 12yrs old is Rs150(must present school pass) Note that kids must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parents at all time. Once the guest has enter the convention they will not be allow to go out and come back inside. This is due to some issues we had in the past with attendees going out and drink alcohol and then come back drunk. We'll not tolerate this kind of behavior.
Rules concerning all persons who will attend our festival as participants(artist,sellers,helpers, group members, singers, stage performers).
-You have to bring your own electric cables if you're planing to plug electric devices like laptop etc. The electricity will be available.
-you will have to own/rent your vehicle if you're planing to bring heavy equipment.
-you will have to keep an eye on your table/things/bags at all time we'll not be responsible of any loss. There will be security and police inside and outside the building. Any problem that happen please refer to a staff nearby. Staff will be wearing staff t-shirt.
-when installing/displaying your table please plan in advance to do as quickly as possible, table cloth will not be provided for the table , Bring scissors, tape, blue tack, pins etc.
-Do not hang anything on the wall, or nail to the wall or stick to the wall. Any damage to the property will be from our pockets
-respect the people next to you, respect the staffs and security, let us be a friendly community, help him/her if him/her need to go to the toilet or need (money) change.
Participant badges:
This year participant badge will be personalize with name and logo/name. Only participants will be allowed to go in and out of the hall. Price will be Rs200. Those badges are limited and will be issued only to people who will perform, artists at the artist alley, sellers.
Staff of AniMu will wear tshirt and won't have badge there they don't have to pay for a badge and will be offered lunch. Click here to become a volunteer staff.

(all entries in the manga contest or other art contests organised by animuexpo will be publish on the website, in our online fanzine Ultimate otaku, and for winner published in AnimuJump. All you work will be credited and link back to you. When you submit entry to a contest organized by AniMuexpo you are agreeing to the terms of the contest. Thank you to not insult staffs when you see your artbook being featured in our fanzine)
How to affiliate?: Email us at mangamauritius@gmail.com subject affiliation with a link to your gallery/forum/website with a description of the various activities you offer your members, name and contact number. Your group must be active. Your logo and link will be displayed on our website, official poster, tickets, banners, on your fanzine, on our facebook account etc. To help promote your group Thus promoting the local artists. You just have to put our logo on your front top page of your forum, website, blog. If you have news or event email us we'll promote it in our fanzine and facebook account.
Note: all artwork to be displayed on the table must be those of the members of your group, each members must give permission to exhibit their work. Do not show work of people without permission.

Cosplay contest rules:
People taking part in the contest can cosplay as followed: anime character/manga character/from Japanese fiction/movie/video game/Jrock/Jpop/Japanese fashion/BJD/Japanese traditional fashion/inspired from Japanese source to do an original costume. Participants and be in group or solo. Participant must send music in mp3 format only on a pendrive, cd, dvd(note that music on cellphone or tablet may not be compatible with the DJ's software, also bring your own USB cable if it's on cellphone or tablet) Bring/send a picture of the character/s you are cosplaying it will help the jury know how accurate your costume is and also it will be use on the projector while you are on stage. Remember that you'll be judge on your costume but not only as acting will count at 50% of the points you'll score. Note that cosplaying is not a photoshoot, it is not a catwalk show. Cosplaying is about becoming the character that you love, talk and stand like them.

How to book a table in the artist alley?
Send us an email on mangamauritius@gmail.com with subject artist alley. Add name, contact number and an example of your work. You'll have to purchase your participant ticket at Rs200 there is a fee per day to pay please contact us. Your table can be shared with your friends. All items on your table must be done by you. Items that will be sold on behave of a third party must provide written permission of the person.No food stuff for sale. You can commission people, sale, books, bookmarks, calenders, posters, pins, badges, handmade items etc,
Note: NO HENTAI .All illustrations/books containing the following must have age Rating 13+(smoking, drinking, violence) / 16+(mild explicit graphic, bad language, disturbing theme etc) written in clear view on the book or near the illustration. Remember that the convention is open to public and small children.
How to book a table in the seller's alley?
Send us an email with subject Seller's alley with your name and contact number a rough list of the merchandise/organizing video games tournament/publishing services/etc will be selling for the event. Accessories and Probes should be on the table and not bother the public while walking around. Badges must be purchased as Rs200 per person, a package price can be arrange if you have many people coming. Price for the table please contact us
Note: things that shouldn't be on sale Hentai books or goodies, weapon made of metal,blades. Due to new regulations and laws concerning weapons. Food stuffs. CD, DVD only be original, no bootleg, fake and illegal pirated copies is allowed in the hall.
